Who We Are

For 30 years John Burch has been involved in all aspects of Equity Capital Markets including Institutional Sales, Investment Research and Investment Banking for Natural Gas Utilities, and for 16 years he headed the Equity Syndicate Department at SunTrust Equitable Securities. He is co-author/editor of The Capital Markets Handbook, an authoritative desk reference for Capital Markets Professionals, published by the Securities Industry Association and Aspen Law & Business.

He has been active in industry affairs in a leadership role including serving as Chairman of the Securities Industry Association Syndicate Committee, which represents member interests in responding to regulatory proposals affecting Capital Markets Practices and Procedures and which initiates educational programs concerning Capital Markets developments. He has also served as Chairman of the Southern/South Central District of the SIA, which carries on the work of the SIA at the local level for the 108 member firms in the fifteen-state district.

He is an instructor at the Capital Markets Program sponsored by the SIA to enhance the skills of Capital Markets Professionals. He is a certified NASDR Arbitrator and a member of the Nashville Securities Dealers Association and the Association for Investment Management and Research. He is listed in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Finance and Industry.
